Worked in a music start up and digital agencies before, during and after the great tech bubble. Also freelanced for two years during the great recession (I sense an economic pattern). Here are some highlights in no particular order.

Delta Air Lines (Relationship and Direct Marketing)

As ACD in a digital agency, I was asked to lead the creative foray into direct marketing that included print and mail. Split time in-house at Delta and at agency creating single stream of multi-channel loyalty and acquisition efforts for Sky Miles program. Created hugely successful “Tickets for Life” promotion that ran for multiple years.

General Motors

Assigned to GM.com team as copywriter. Participated in the design and launch of the world's first online vehicle owner's center, customized sites for customers based on Vehicle Identification Number. Supported with direct marketing and helped grow agency business to GM.com.

Conceptual Work

As marketers, we're in the Idea Business. I've often been asked to lead brainstorms or partner with companies early in the process to come up with ideas or concepts they can "sell" to others. These examples include:

  • Subaru Share the Love campaign digital launch 

  • Dewar's "Repeal Day" promotional concepts

  • Western Union mobile campaigns

  • Colorado Lottery website and media pitch 

  • VUKA energy drink packaging and website

  • Website for launch of Joe Henry's "Tiny Voices" album
